Full Moon II

De maan is de enige natuurlijke satelliet van de aarde en draait in ongeveer 27 dagen om onze planeet. Haar baan is licht elliptisch, waardoor de afstand tot de aarde varieert. Door haar zwaartekracht, samen met die van de zon, ontstaan op aarde de getijden: eb en vloed. Het is een natuurkundig samenspel van krachten dat precies op elkaar is afgestemd. De invloed van de maan op onze aarde blijft me verwonderen en inspireren — een herinnering aan de grootsheid en kracht van de natuur.

The Moon is Earth’s only natural satellite and completes an orbit around our planet in about 27 days. Its path is slightly elliptical, causing the distance to Earth to vary. Through its gravitational pull — together with that of the Sun — the tides arise: ebb and flow. It is a physical interplay of forces, perfectly balanced. The Moon’s influence on our planet continues to fascinate and inspire me — a reminder of the grandeur and power of nature.
